Long) [Alpha 4.03 - part 1 of 7] Emacs is the best of those dreaded mainframes editors that were born before mice, before cursor keys even. You don't have to know anything about emacs if you don't want to, but many of Alpha's functions are emacs equivalens and I use some emacs terminology. Many of the default key bindings are the same as emacs. All documentation is contained in the online help, which can be found under the Apple menu for pre-7.0 systems and under the balloon help menu for 7.0 and above Shareware. ---
