(A) New features
(1) Jpeg and Gif images can be collected from web pages via drag/drop, which
can then be sorted as well as stored.
(2) "Find" can be executed by simply pressing the "Return Key."
(3) There are now two window sizes to choose from. The compact window is
ideal as a web companion. It can, however, readily be switched to a larger
window where more serious database management can be conducted. The windows
"snap" back to their respective window-sizes, which are pre-designated and
yet adjustable.
(B) What "Bookmarksman" does:
Bookmarksman, a URL management database solution, helps keep track of web
browser bookmarks that tend to have the nasty habit of haphazardly
accumulating into something unmanageably humongous.
(1) Bookmarks can be coherently organized and utilized as a valuable source
of information.
(2) The powerful Search feature makes it possible to retrieve relevant
bookmarks that are otherwise easily misplaced.
(3) Search results are displayed in list view.
(4) Duplicate URLs are easily extracted and deleted at a stroke.
(5) Bookmarks can be sorted in number of ways.
(6) Drag/Drop-aware.
(7) You can attach notes to bookmarks, which will later be put to use as
keywords in the search mode.
(8) E-mail addresses as well as URLs can be stored.
(9) One click opens a web page or an e-mail sheet.
(10) The last-visited time/date for each bookmark is remembered and the
bookmarks can be viewed as history.
(11) You can "flag" your favorite bookmarks.

Tex-Edit Plus is a scriptable, styled text editor that fills the gap
between Apple's bare-bones SimpleText and a full-featured word
processor. It's fast, efficient, and has a clean, uncluttered interface.
It's also great for cleaning up text which is transmitted over the
Internet.
Tex-Edit Plus features: Extensive munging abilities, unlimited file size,
Drag&Drop support, AppleScript support, Word Services support,
Speech Manager support, picture handling, sound handling, movie handling,
ability to create SimpleText Read-Only documents, and much more.
Tex-Edit Plus can read and write UTF-16 (unicode) text. The new file

Subject: direcPC with a Mac
Does anyone know if it is possible to use the USB DirecPC
satellite internet system with a Mac. The specs naturally call for
a Windows system other than NT which does not support USB. It is not
a card but an external USB box so it seems to me that there ought to
be a way of using it. Is it a matter of drivers that prevents its
use or are there unsupported ways to make it all happen. ExpressVu
Satellite Canada is my provider and they claim to use the DirecPC
system however they do not support Mac for this purpose either out of
a technical issue or in my opinion a lack of knowledge on the
subject. If anyone has any information on this I would appreciate an

A couple of options:
1. Set up a Desktop printer for your PostScript printer; when you want to switch back to this printer from the non-PS printer, click on the Desktop printer and choose "Set Default Printer" from the "Printing" menu in the Finder. Don't use the Chooser. Attempts to print to this printer will fail, but you'll still be able to print to a PS file.
2. Use Desktop Printer Utility to create a Desktop Printer which is specifically set up to print to a PostScript file rather than to a printer. You'll create a "Translator (PostScript)" printer type in the DTPU. Set it as your active printer using the method described above. This type of virtual printer won't require you to remember to select "print to file" in the print dialog. It'll behave just like a normal printer, except that everything you send to it will end up as a PostScript file somewhere. No network connection required.

I want to take apart my quickcam and kritter cam digital cameras so
that all I have is the camera without the external ball casings. Does

I use Quickeys for X. It is somewhat limited compared to the OS 9 version
(not to mention OneClick, the ultimate OS 9 macro program), but I find it
very useful. I like the options of keystroke, system menu, and toolbars.
It is pretty expensive. Check out Youpi Key which is freeware and is being
actively developed by the author.

Subject: Selecting out
Anone know of an app similiar to "Net-Print" where I can select part
of a message and print that selection without printing the entire
message? I have tried to put "Net-Print"8.1 into my iMac OS X without
much success. It did work well on my old mac OS 7. I cannot seem to
get any useful info from the owners.
