Kim Kaphwan
===========

Why choosing kim? 
He is an great character for beginner players, becuse of his easy-to- do 
moves, and Kim is one of the characters that is in the KOF series since 
the beginning, so he(snk I mean) had improved himself in tae kwando 
fighting style. Back to gameplay, he is a fast, strong character, 
besides he has good moves. So I'm about to show the things I said above.

Traditional Grab, kim will hold the enemy and throw away, use it when 
the opponent is blocking too much or when get close.

Sakkyaku Nage When close, b / f + D

Other grabbing move. But this time kim will throw the enemy to the 
opposite side.

Kuuren Geki f + A 
-----------------

Very useful move, can be canceled into Hishou Kyaku or Hou'ou Kyaku only 
at the first hit, making of this one of the difficulties of the 
charater, the special move has to be done right after Kuuren Geki to be 
canceled, practice is everything.

----------------
Neri Chagi f + B 
----------------

Kim's overhead attack( has to be blocked down ), hits opponents in the 
air, on the ground, and enemies guarding down, but is very slow to come 
out, so use it wisely. Performing the move as a combo will null the 
overhead effect. Performing this move far away from the enemy means 
death, cause the opponent will have time to choose what to do with you, 
rather using it close to the opponent.
Special attacks( slowly fill your power meter when blocked or not)
Hangetsu Zan qcb + K
A very quick move, perfect to use when you need to hit running 
opponents, when done using B will be really quick but has a short range, 
and performed with D a higher range, hits in the air and ground. Pay 
attention, every move has its recovering time, don't perform any move if 
it isn't necessary, you can eat up a SDM (super desperation move) by 
doing a move trying to hit a striker for example.

Special attacks( fill your power gauge when blocked or not)
===============

Haki Kyaku d,d + K 
------------------

This move is great against opponents that are running, 'cause it has to 
be blocked down, not letting much time to think when an enemy comes like 
escaping from police. Can even block ground projectiles, and it is a 
super cancel move( a DM can be done while an special is being 
performed). Perform with B to obtain a faster move, and perform using D 
for a longer one.

Hien Zan Charge d,u + K
-----------------------
 
Kim foot uppercut. The most useful move of all, Can hit in air and on 
the ground, use it to get jumping enemies or ground standing ones, The 
weaker version(done with B) is as usual, very quick and can be done 
times in a row, because it has a very short recovery time, confusing 
adversaries. The stronger version ( performed with D) is very good too, 
but takes a lot of time to recover , can even be completed by pressing d 
+ D at the upper part of it.
Ryuusei Raku Charge b,f + K 
This move is very useful, it has to be blocked first down and then up. 
Use against enemies that jumped(when almost getting down perform it will 
act like a d + D attack) and ground standing, principaly if they are 
guarding up. Perform it with B to a shorter range and with D to a higher 
range). Normal recovery time.

Hishou Kyaku In air, qcf + K 
----------------------------

Use this one when when facing enemies that jumped at the same time that 
you did, or cornered opponents. Can cancel Kuuren Geki if done very 
quickly after the first Kuuren Geki hit, tap b,b and qcf + K and this 
move will also come out. Performed with D has a higher angle,
and with b a shorter angle and it's quicker.

DM's (desperation moves, you'll need one stock to perform them)
====

Hou'ou Hiten Kyaku qcf,qcf + K 
------------------------------

This move launches the enemy in the air allowing you to complete with 
any other move. Even the Hou'ou Kyaku will work. You can use it as an 
anti-air attack or a ground one. To make the Hou'ou Kyaku work, perform 
the Hou'ou Hiten Kyaku and then jump back and perform the Hou'ou Kyaku.

Hou'ou Kyaku qcb,db,f + K (can be done in air)
----------------------------------------------

Kim's multi hit DM, rather to use with D and in the air, because it will 
have a higher range, kim will only stop flying when he gets down on 
ground. If the opponent rolls back don't think twice and perform it. 
Will certainly hit. Use it with B and will have a shorter flying time. 
Against cornered oppoenets, is greater because if you jump and in the 
upper part of the jump you perform the move, kim will keep flying slowly 
down and if the enemy moves, hasta la vista.

SDM(super desperation move) Hou'ou Kyaku qcb,db,f + BD (can be done in 
air) 
===

The super version of kim previous DM is not a big change, but has a 
greater number of hits and does more damage.

To choose kim's traditional clothes color just press A or C button, and 
to choose a red one press B or D. Notice that when you change kim's 
kimono color you'll change his another striker costume color too.

Kim Kaphwan : Kim will come from the sky and perform his Hishou Kyaku  
throwing the enemy into the air, allowing you to follow with any other 
attack.

Kim Sue-il : He will perform an upper with a rod, can attack while the 
upper is being performed.

Super Cancel command
--------------------

The super cancel move, wich was explained in the begining, is performed 
in the following way: when you are at the MAX stage of the power gauge, 
press ABC to activate the counter mode, allowing you to do super 
cancels. Perform the move, and then before it ends, apply the proper DM.

Hangetsu Zan: perform this move and at the first hit perform the Hou'ou 
Kyaku move, a super cancel combo will be shown at the combos section.

Ryuusei Raku: This move like the other one can be super canceled only at 
the first hit

Hishou Kyaku: This move can be super canceled before it ends at any hit, 
but only a DM will work: Hou'ou Kyaku.

The following command are combinations of attack in order to damage the 
enemy with more power than a normal, alone performed attack would. If 
the button (s) have (has) no direction command beside it, press the 
button with the lever in its neutral position and standing on the 
ground.
Practice more weak-buttons combos, because you have to wait a certain 
time to complete them.

*You may discover combo variations but everything may be in this way.

Game Strategies
---------------

Here goes my own strategies for the use of Kim, I can't assure you'll 
win but some of then will help a lot if you are a beginner.

. To get jumping opponents I don't need to tell you that kim's Hien Zan 
is the best move in this case but and if you're not holding down? Don't 
worry, if press D standing it's just the same, personally I think it's 
one the bests anti-air attacks that Kim have. His Neri Chagi is great 
too, or perform an upper d + D. You can also jump + CD. Use his aerial C 
+ attack frequently, in my opinion is the fourth better air C + D 
attack( first and second Ralf and clark and Jhun and Kim third and 
fourth).

. To avoid getting hit by vicious projectiles, just jump and C + D when 
falling. Rolling it's dangerous, because the enemy may be waiting for 
this to attack you. Jumping may be dangerous too, but you are reducing 
your chance of getting hit by doing a super jump d,uf or ub and a C + D. 
You can jump and qcb,db,f + K too, everything depends on the knowledges 
you have about your adversary.

. If you are at MAX here is an tip, press BCD, and keep attacking with 
your C + D attack, it's really powerful, cause you won't fall. 

. Take special care with guys like Clark, Ralf or Maxima, because they 
have powerful grab attacks that can be linked into a infinite.
Never get too close, and if so jump C + D, rather a short jump.

. Choose the best striker for you, he can help you win a battle or 
follow a DM or even a SDM. I recommend Ralf, Seth, another Iori, and
Yuri, there are many other, find out the one that best fits you.

. Perfer to do moves using a weak button, because if you miss the 
recover time and the chance of being hit is smaller, but if you are sure 
of the sucess of your attack, don't be afraid of using the strong 
button.

There's way of select your winning pose: just press a button right after 
K.O. Every button is a different winning pose.
