This tries to get you through the game, and to get everything. This game is a combination of four robots from Mega Man 2 (Wood Man, Air Man, Crash Man, Air Man) and four from Mega Man 3 (Needle Man, Magnet Man, Hard Man, Top Man). This is probably the worst of the Gameboy Mega Man series. Each game has the techniques available from the game, which its last four robots are from. If you need an example (which you probably do considering how complicated that was), here it is: Mega Man 3 was the very first game in which you can slide. Since four robots here come from Mega Man 3, you can slide in this game. Cool! I have no idea what he plans to do, but your can be sure that he'll be back! "In the meantime, Rush has sniffed out a few of Wily's robots guarding a subterranean passage. Get over there and check it out. And remember, let's be careful down there! Other notes: If you've played Mega Man 2, you'll notice that I don't go after Metal Man first. You'll find out soon enough... Here is the order (on the stage select): 3 4 1 2 -=3.01: Wood Man=- *To defeat the cats, wait until they shoot fire. Time it, and jump over it. In mid-air, shoot at the cat. Repeat until he's...done. *(I have to put SOMETHING else here) The chickens- run away until they jump, and then slide under them. WOOD MAN He's a little bit harder than he was in Mega Man 2. Why? Because of something that you'd think makes it easier...his leaf shield fires at you slower. If you're used to its other rate, you might have a hard time. Anyways, he'll start out by surrounding himself with leaves (Leaf Shield), and shooting three leaves up in to the air. These gently float down. While they're coming down, he fires the Leaf Shield at you, and then jumps. During this time, you should shoot him. He will probably only be able to shoot at you three times before you kill him! They go slower than they do in Mega Man 2, so it's a mite easier. *When you come to the enemies that have fans in their stomach, destroy them before you destroy the smaller enemies. AIR MAN Use Leaf Shield. Leaf Shield fires when you move. Jump over the Air Tornadoes that he shoots, and slide if you must. When you can stand up, shoot Leaf Shield at him. He goes down in three hits! Current Password: O = Dot 1 2 3 4 Current Items: Leaf Shield (WD) A | | O | O | | Air Shooter (AR) B | O | | O | | Rush Jet (RJ) C | | | O | | D | | O | | O | You got: Air Shooter And Rush Jet -=3.03: Crash Man=- *The large pillar-type enemies fall apart when you shoot them, and the pieces fly at you. He'll rebuild, and then you can kill him. Remember to shoot him in the face! *If the platform area gives you too much trouble, use Rush Jet. *When you fall down the next pit, hold left to get the large energy capsule, and make sure to avoid the spikes on the next screen. Use Rush Jet to get the Energy Tank. *When you get to two ladders, it doesn't matter which you take; when you get to three, take the far right, and the middle ones. You'll get an Energy Tank and a large energy capsule. CRASH MAN Use Air Shooter of course. He'll run wildly around the room, shooting Crash Bombs. He'll jump more than run. That's where Air Shooter comes in--it shoots in an upward arc. When he jumps, shoot him. It's hard to avoid the Crash Bombs, so just beat him before he beats you ;)! Don't be afraid to use an energy tank. Go figure :P. -=3.04: Metal Man=- *This stage is lined with conveyor belts. Make sure to pay attention! *After you go under the spike things, you'll come to a place where drills appear from nowhere. Uh...watch out? *Use Rush Coil to get the out-of-reach Extra Life. METAL MAN Use Cr(l)ash bombs. Metal Man is an odd fellow. He runs in the opposite direction of his conveyor belt, and will do nothing else unless you attack or get too close. If you get too close, he'll jump to the other side. If you attack, he'll jump, and shoot two Metal Blades. These are easy enough to avoid. Shoot him, and then stop for a minute to prepare for your next attack. When you stop, so does he. Alternate strategy from this really nice guy called "Meowthnum1": Also, you can run toward him. He'll jump to the other side. When he does that, shoot a Crash Bomb toward where he's about to land. It'll hit him. Repeat this. If you ever miss, you'll not be able to finish him with bombs, but it's easy to take him down with the Buster. It's so small, it's not getting its own section heading. When you enter, Mega Man will look around, and go down. He'll see Dr. Wily. He'll walk toward him, and then the floor drops our from under him. Now he/you is at another set of bosses... 4 2 3 1 That's the order. -=3.05: Needle Man=- *If you ever have trouble getting to someplace, realize that the game expects you to have Rush Coil by now (you do), so keep that in mind. *When you get to the point when you must slide to get through, take the top passage to get two small energy capsules. *The rest is easy. NEEDLE MAN Use your Mega Buster. He has two attacks: Jumping up into the air and shooting Needle Cannon, and hitting you with the spike on his head. Slide toward him to dodge the needles, and move back to dodge his head. Don't be afraid to use an energy tank! Ignore the ball, and he'll shoot no more. *Don't bother with the second cat. *At the end of the level, you're faced with Spinning Tops. Wait until you are at the closest point to the next top, and jump. TOP MAN He holds true to his NES form. As such, we'll just use the Mega Buster (yes, he's THAT simple). He'll start off by shooting three tops up in the air. Anticipate when the tops will fall, and slide toward Top Man. Now shoot him. He'll spin around, and dash toward you. Anticipate when he'll do this, and jump toward where he was when you think he'll charge. Repeat this. Now come back up. MAGNET MAN Use Mega Buster. Aside from running around, Magnet Man has two attacks: jump up in to the air and shoot Magnet Missiles (which you should slide under) and pull you toward him (you cannot hurt him). He's fairly simple. Shoot him when you've a clear shot. Needle Cannon also works VERY well. Use that too, if you wish. The Missiles home in on him, so don't worry about aiming. He tries to crush you with his head. It doesn't matter what you do, you are frozen for as long as he. He is still vulnerable, so hit him! He comes down easily. QUINT He rides a giant pogo stick called the Sakugarne. He'll jump to a part of a room, and dig some rocks that go around him. Then he repeats. Use the Mega Buster, and he goes down nice and easy. He is only vulnerable on himself (not the Sakugarne). So make sure that's what you aim for! He's got no life bar, though. You got: Quint Item Sakugarne (SG) Now you go to a spacestation. It's actually a timewarp. It's got nothing you've not seen before, so let's just skip on... One other note: remember to use Rush Marine on the water parts! WILY Use the Mega Buster. He's so predictable it's not funny. He'll jump over you, shoot a bomb, turn around, shoot a missile, and repeat. Shoot him where Wily is. Once you get his life bar down to half, he goes to another ship. Now he'll move forward, shoot a bomb (which will split in two), go back, and shoot two fireballs that go in your general direction. When he goes down to half again, he flees to another ship. Now you're fighting a dinosaur. Shoot the skull in the middle. He'll shoot a missile, and then four bombs simultaneously. Once you beat him this time, he'll be gone for good. Don't be afraid to use energy tanks--you'll have no more use for them any longer. Congratulations!
