>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[mi][My introduction:]

Hi there, my reader! My name is Enigma_07, (or DJ Visor if you wish) and I am
a Hungarian (hey, do you know where Hungary is? =P) retro fan.
SNES? NES? GameBoy? (Color) SEGA Genesis? (/Megadrive) Yeah, you know what I
play on. My favourite game is definetely Super Probotector: The Alien Rebels.
Those ROBOTS rock! Speaking of robots... I just love games with robots. :)
For example, Omega Boost (Bah, that is a mech... =P) for the PlayStation.
I could beat this game for the second try, while my older brother could NOT
beat it, anyhow he was trying it, he always died! (And, I was laughing, of
course. :D) So back to that Probotector game... if you know the name of those
robots, (especially the white one) please mail me with their names to
benettonroy@freemail.hu! Thanks a lot, you'll gain full credit for that! :)
But hey, this is a Mega Man 2 guide for the Game Boy. And my guide! :D
Some more words about the enigmatic (the word 'enigma' sounds cool :)) writer.
I'm 18, I don't have a girlfriend - and I never had :D - but I have READERS.
YOU, to be exact. This makes motivation for all the writers, like me.
Keep the RETRO alive!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[gi][Game Introduction:]

You are Mega Man (you control him! =P) and you are made by Dr. Thomas Xavier
Light, who made 6 other Robot Masters (which were the enemies in the NES MM1),
Mega Man, and Proto Man. (who will appear in MM4 in the Gameboy series, and in
MM3 for the NES) (He also made Roll too, who I almost forgot)
But, Dr. Albert Wily, who was working together with the good ol' Thomas, had
once enough. He became a MAD scientist, and he reprogrammed Bombman, Gutsman,
Cutman, Fireman, Iceman, Elecman and Megaman, because he wanted to rule this
world. But, Mega Man resisted, and he fought Wily (this is the NES MM1's
storyline, but the more you know!) time after the time.
But Wily NEVER learns. Now, he stole a time machine, called Time Skimmer, and
he went into the future... Now, you most stop him, and kill your old foes!
Yes, Wily does the same here... remaking a few bots... eh!

This game is called Mega Man II. This game (and guide) is for the Game Boy.
Even if there is a Mega Man 2 for the NES, these games are not the same!
And, I'll tell you why.

First of all, this game is not for the NES, it is for the Game Boy.
Second, this game is not colorful like the NES MM2 is - even if both systems
are 8-bit.
Third, the Gameboy MM2 uses 4 Robot Masters from the NES MM2 and 4 from the
NES MM3, it makes a 'mix', and it keeps continuing until MM5 for the Gameboy.
There, you have to fight Star Droids instead of Robot Masters...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[ch][Characters:]

Mega Man: Ah yeah, the good old blue bomber is back. He was originally called
Rock. (hence the Japanese name of Mega Man, Rockman) He volunteered to be
converted into a super fighting robot, when Wily started doing those bad
things. He can shoot his Plasma Cannon, (not Mega Buster yet) he can slide
(because the appearence of the MM3 bots) and he can use other weapons called
'Master Weapons' once he beats a Robot Master. He also has a 'sidekick'...

Rush: Yup, Mega Man's robotic dog, makes his debut on the Gameboy in MM2.
He has three forms: Coil - a big spring to make Mega Man's jumps bigger,
Jet - to help Mega Man to get through large pits, Marine - underwater help
for Mega Man, as a marine. :)

Dr. Thomas Xavier Light: The man behind, the creator of Mega Man (Rock), Roll,
Proto Man (Blues in Japan - Looks like Light likes music) and the NES MM1
Robot Masters. He is a good guy, who made Rush to help Mega Man.

Dr. Albert Wily: The bad guy, who looks like a 120-year old man, whose hair
looks just funny. :D But, he looks a little bit younger in this game, but I
don't know why. So, he stole the Time Skimmer and went into the future
(probably he brought Quint into the game from there) and he is up to no good
again. Mega Man must stop him once and for all (again =P) to stop the evil!

Quint: Probably, he is Wily's right-hand bot like Enker was in the GB MM1.
The bad thing is his mysterious, enigmatical (once again 'enigma'. :)) being
in the game and in the story, too. You must fight him to proceed onto Wily's
stage.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[en][Enemies:]

*THIS SECTION WILL BE UPDATED*

Have "Su" Bee - "Mother" bee, drops a "beepackage" (Hard Man)
Chibee - The bee dropped by Have "Su" Bee (Hard Man)
Wanaan - The mechanic "arm" in Hard Man's stage (Hard Man)
Hammer Joe - The robot who throws a ball at you (Hard Man)
Kaettekitta Monking (Man, what a LAME name :)) - The monkey who falls on you
(Magnet Man)
Metall - Yeah, the enemy which appears in almost EVERY Mega Man game! He wears
a hat, he shots 3 shots (Metal Man, Wood Man, Wily Stage)
Komasaburo (...) - Why not Fat Top? He simply shoots Tops at you (Top Man)
Mecha Kero - I hate these jumping enemies... They don't even shoot! (Top Man)
Mag Fly - Flying magnets. That's all! :) Oh, don't forget, Mega Man is made by
metal... ;) (Magnet Man)
G. Springer - Big metal heads, these shoots out small "homing" rockets.
And, they spring if you are near... IMHO. (Magnet Man, Wily Stage)
Peterchy - Walking robots, they don't shoot.. simple! :) (Magnet Man)
New Shotman - They shoot... nothing else! (Magnet Man)
Yambo - Flying robotical insects :D

1. METAL MAN (upper right corner)\____________________________________________

Nobody beaten yet, password: A1, B3, B4, C3, D2, D4 (No E-Tanks)

Enigma_07 here with another guide after 4 months!
Yet another favourite Game Boy (and NES) game, yet another guide for you!
So, before we start, don't forget about the conveyor belts which covers almost
the whole stage. Don't let these fall you in those bottomless pits, will ya? ;)

Screen 1: 'Kay, go right and stay at the end of the conveyor belt, because a
Springer is around on the lower platform right after the conveyor belt.
It is shorter than your hip, and it moves back and forth on the ground.
If you're standing on the same platform as he, then it'll move very fast.
Don't get too close, or its top will start bouncing back and forth.
What can I say? I hate them, as these are weird things.
The bad thing is that you cannot kill them with your regular weapon, the
Plasma Cannon. :(
Wait until he is on the right corner then press A to jump over him. If you
done quickly, then you won't get hit. Yeah, that's good. :)
Fall down to the next screen.

Screen 2: You probably want to hug the right side of the wall while you are
falling. If you fell while pushing the Left button, then you will end up dead,
thanks to those "Horrible And Ugly Spikes". Remember.. one hit and you die!
Anyways, fall down to the right to keep going. :)

Screen 3: Now, KEEP PRESSING THAT LEFT BUTTON, (enough of caps, I know ;))
if you fell down here on the right side. No enemies here, just the spikes.
Fall down. (Ugh, how many times do I have to keep telling that?)

Screen 4: Keep pressing right here, because:
1. You don't want to get spiked, do you?
2. You don't want to get hit of the Springer, do you?
3. You don't want that large energy pellet, do you?
Now really! You have full energy, (or maybe you got hit once) so it's useless!
Onward the next screen by exiting right by falling down the hole.

Screen 5: OMG! A PIEROBOT!... or maybe not yet. :) That will only come down to
you on that "burning" (What? The wheel looks like burning... :P) wheel.
Better to shoot the wheel 6 times then to shoot the robot on it twice, becuase
the wheel STILL comes towards you even without the robot!
And a tip: just stay in the right corner. (Why to move if the conveyor belt
slows you down?) So, stay in the corner, quickly destroy the wheel (ignore
the robot, that will fall down) and fall down on the left.

Screen 6: Two conveyor belts here, both of them pushes you to the
left, and both of them "contains" a Springer.
Quickly jump over the first Springer, jump on the second one, (Ignore the small
gap between the conveyor belts. You can slide in for a large weapon energy
pellet, but it is simply useless for us now. AND, the chances of getting hit
by the Springer will be big.) and jump over another Springer.
Ah, another conveyor belt to right and a Guillotine is ahead of us!
Yup, wait until it gets almost to the top, but don't let it reach the top!
Jump and slide (down + A) away on yet another conveyor belt, which moves you
to the right. Hey, another Guillotine is ahead, but it is easier to avoid.
You don't have to jump here! You can even run under it, if you are already a
master of this game! (Like I do. :P)
Another conveyor belt (duo, and both of them leads to the) / Guillotine duo.
Slide here twice to avoid this one. The next Guillotine is pretty easy to
avoid. Just wait until it gets high enough, and jump + slide away from there.
Now comes the part of the stage, which the NES Mega Man 2 has, too.
Yeah, the Mole part. You have to shoot these 5 times to kill them.
I just can't help you here, these are random. Just beware here and get to the
conveyor belt(s).
Do you see the point where the conveyor belts meet here? Yes? Then be careful
here, because here is a HIDDEN Guillotine just above that point. Slide, man! :)
OK, after another small Mole-y part, you will get to a conveyor belt.
Be careful when you get to the spikes. Just don't fall in or off of the next
conveyor belt!
Ah, two Pierobots here... simply IGNORE them. Just get on the next conveyor
belt (with a Pierobot) and climb up the ladder.

Screen 7: Sorry for the previous long section. :P
Hey, two Metalls are here! :) Kill the first one before he gets a chance to
hit you. (Go closer because they are invincible while under the hard hat)
Climb up the ladder. Now comes a quick part, it can be done under a second.
Slide in, slide out, turn around, shoot, climb down the ladder a bit.
Okay, no enemies, so slide in, jump, slide, and climb the ladder up.

Screen 8: Once again, the day is saved, thanks to the Powerpuff Girls...
say what? Oops, sorry. :) So, two Metalls here, quickly kill the first and
jump up in the small gap where you can stand. Wait for the Metall now. Let him
shoot. Then slide in, up the ladder and shoot him on the back! :D
You shameless killer! ;) Climb up the ladder to the next screen.

CHECKPOINT! Screen 9: You don't have the Rush Coil/Rush Jet yet, so ignore the
extra life here. Go right, slide and kill the Pierobots (you will probably get
hit once) and if you are lucky, then you can get extra lives! Hey, I got 3 out
of 4! (2 robots, 2 wheels) Not bad, am I lucky or what? ;)
You're on the home stretch now. One Pierobot, jump, yet another Pierobot,
jump, fall down, and a last Pierobot! Enter the gate, my friend. You shall see
a friend inside... or not.
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: (Dr.) METAL MAN (What? The Metal Blade on his head looks like a
stethoscope. And his position... like he says "Turn around and cough..." :D)

"Is there a doctor in the house?"

Don't forget, the conveyor belt pushes you only to the left side.
In the NES Mega Man 2, Metal Man could change the direction, but not here.
He is a little bit odd fighter. He won't attack you unless you attack him
first. If you stand still, he won't ever attack you! Don't get close to him,
or he will jump (and hit you, if you don't slide under him quickly) to the
left side of the lair, which will make the battle harder, because you can't
stand still. Here is a very good strategy to kill him HITLESS!
Just be sure that you do not fail the "pattern" or you will get hit!
So, at the start of the battle, get to the middle of the lair and jumpshoot
(A+B pressed at the same time) to hit him while he jump in the air (He'll jump
if you shoot at him) to make him jump into your shot! (Hahaha... ha ha ha ha)
Quickly run back to the left wall and jump over the two Metal Blades!
You can jump over BOTH of them! Then start again... go the middle, jumpshoot
(you can even shoot in midair, but chances of hitting Metal Man will be a tad
smaller, but you can try) and avoid... EASY! Keep this up until you win! ;)

Metal Man beaten: A1, A3, C3, D2, D4 (0 E-Tanks)

Weapons so far:

- Metal Blades (ME)
- Rush Marine (RM)

Now, let's chuck this pile of junk called Wood Man with some Metal Blades! :D

_______________________________ [stage2]
2. WOOD MAN (lower left corner)\______________________________________________

Screen 1: Start by going right and ignore the Battons. You'll get to the Robbit.
(I will tell you what it is: a robot rabbit! Don't laugh :D It is true!)
KILL IT! QUICKLY... or you'll get a carrot in your face. Go right, kill the
Robbit first, then the 3 Battons. Go right, and equip the Metal Blades.
You'll need it, because the next *RABBIT" cannot be hit with your Plasma
Cannon. He is so low for that. :( Kill the Battons, go right, and kill another
Robbit and climb down the ladder.

Screen 2: 3 Battons. Ignore them, and go down the ladder.

Screen 3: A robot dog, and only one and not three, like in the NES Mega Man 2.
Jump back and forth while avoiding the fire... better use the Metal Blades, it
only takes 16 hits to kill this pesky dog! :/ Down the latter the way you go.

Screen 4: 3 Metal Blades in the Robbit immediately! And slide in the crevase
to reload the Metal Blades ;) Fall down. :P

Oh, goodie! Checkpoint! :)
Screen 5: You can either choose to go under water or not. If you are low on
energy, then pull out Rush Marine and simply travel undervater without getting
damaged! :) Simply ignore everything above! :D Climb up the ladder now.

Screen 6: Kill the 2 Battons, pick up the large energy pellet if you need some
health. Up up & to...

Screen 7: Climb up and keep going right and shoot down the first Metall.
Climb up the ladder and kill the second one, which will "hide" "behind" the
large energy pellet. Pick up for some health, and continue by climbing up.

Screen 8: Cooks are here... kill them with Metal Blades and NOT with the
Plasma Cannon... it only slightly damages the Cook. Or, slide under them,
while they are jumping. Keep going right until you find a Robbit. Simply kill
it, and enter the lair while equiping Metal Blades. ;)
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: WOOD MAN

Hahahahahaha hahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha LOL.
What a joke! Now really! 4 hits with the Metal Blades!
Anyways, he starts by putting his Leaf Shield up. He will shoot 4 leaves in
the air, too. Then, he will throw the shield at you (almost impossible to jump
over it - at least, I couldn't jump over it) Avoid the falling leaves, too.
(Wow. Mega Man is getting hit by LEAVES... hahahahaha...)
Chuck this guy with Metal Blades when his shield is off. You can only hit him
when his shield is off!

Now, let's leaf (is there a verb 'leaf' in English?) Air Man into pieces! :D

Metal Man & Wood Man defeated: A1, A3, B4, C3, D2, D4 (0 E-Tanks)

Weapons so far:

- Metal Blades (ME)
- Leaf Shield (WD)
- Rush Marine (RM)
_______________________________ [stage3]
3. AIR MAN (lower right corner)\______________________________________________

Cool music. :) Maybe I make a music out of it, check out for DJ Visor. :)

Screen 1: Shoot down the Pipi (it's slower than on the NES) before it drops
that egg. After that, do it again. Oh my! Nowhere to jump! Hahaha, Game Over.
Enough sarcasm, back to work. Jump to reveal a living (robot...) platform,
which I simply call Goblins. Watch out for it's horns. Don't let it hit you,
you can fall down - and, with nowhere to drop, it means death!
And, look out for the smaller versions of it called Puti Goblins released by
the Goblins' ears. (Wow)
After 4 Goblins (Tip: if you land on the edge, then quickly hop again to avoid
the Goblins' horns) kill a Pipi and land on the platform. Kill one more Pipi,
which can be a pain if you don't realize it. Fall down on the right.

Screen 2: Nothing. Just drop and slide.

Screen 3: Now, if you fall off those small platforms, then equip Leaf Shield
to destroy the Scworm Maker and the Scworms, too. If you landed on 1 of those
platforms, then jump through this part and jump down the hole on the left.

Checkpoint! Screen 4: Kill 3 Pipis while going right.
Now comes another Goblin part. Be careful on the 2nd Goblin, because a
Matasaburo (looks like Air Man) will blow you to the left!
Once again, 2 Goblin and a Matasaburo - you know what to do! :)
Now comes a fun part, I like it. :) You have to destroy those Kaminari Goros
on their "clouds" to get through. Don't their "thunders" hit you.
After 6 K.G.-s, fall down to proceed.

Screen 5: A Scworm Maker in the middle below you and the platform. Ignore it.
Just fall down to the left.

Screen 6: You'll land on a platform, which is behind the cloud. Fall down to
the Scworm Maker and destroy it with the Leaf Shield. Enter the lair with
Leaf Shield equipped.
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: AIR MAN

Start the fight by shooting the Leaf Shield to Air Man. If you were quick, it
will hit him. And it can hit him twice (No, because you will always land on
the same place after entering the lair. It WILL hit him twice.)
He will shoot some tornadoes while pushing you to the left. Don't get upset if
you can't avoid them. After two of these tornado-attacks, he will jump closer.
But he won't live long, maybe for a few seconds. :)
3 hits with the Leaf Shield and he is dead!

Metal Man, Wood Man & Air Man defeated: A2, A3, B1, B4, C3, D2, D4 (0 E-Tanks)

Weapons so far:

- Metal Blades (ME)
- Leaf Shield (WD)
- Air Shooter (AR)
- Rush Marine (RM)
- Rush Jet (RJ)

Crash Man, (Note: Even if he is called Clash Man in the game, I will call him
Crash Man. This is because the Japanese language doesn't have R letter in it,
so they had to use a substitute letter - L, at this point.
It looks like Capcom "forgot" to fix this mistake. Ah well.) you will be
kicked in your face! Here we go!

_____________________________________ [stage4]
3. CRASH MAN (upper left corner! =P)\________________________________________
Bah, he is the only Mega Man 2 Robot Master alive now! And you can only select
his stage! =P)

Screen 1: Alright, climb up the ladders while you take care of the Telly. ;)
But, you can simply avoid it.

Screen 2: Wow. 2 Tellys =P. You can avoid these as well, if you are quick.
Or, kill them if you want.

Screen 3: Go right and you'll face a noname enemy. (Hey, don't look at me!
This one REALLY is a noname one! It doesn't even appear on the enemy list at
the end of the game, so I will call it Canbot, because it looks like a few
cans or something together :D)
So, you'll meet a Canbot. Shoot it's head (yes, the one with the eyes :)) to
dispatch it for the first time. Try to avoid it's blocks - you have to be
lucky to not get hit, but it is no biggy. OK, but it builds up himself again!
Shoot his head once more to destroy it! Hurray :) Up the way we go now guys.

Screen 4: Jump IMMEDIATELY on the platform an QUICKLY jump again to reach the
ladder above you. Or use the Rush Jet. Or use the platform and kill the Telly.

Screen 5: Another platform screen. Avoid the Telly, which comes out of that
pipe (Er... khm, Super Mario relationship? :D) on the way you go.
Or, use the Rush Jet once again. :)

Screen 6: The last platform screen. Just use Rush Jet again to simply shortcut
this one, too (And the Telly as well. =P)

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 7: Oh yes, we are out in the open, fresh air. Oh, goodie. :) Hey, check
out the mountains, too! So, go right and kill a Canbot on your way (Don't be
afraid if you are low on energy, though.) Fall down.

Screen 8: Do you see that large energy pellet? That's why you didn't have to
be afraid. Get some health if you need and FALL DOWN NEXT TO THE LADDER!

Screen 9: OK, you probably haven't landed in spikes. Pull out Rush Jet and
pick up that E-Tank! Select your path. (Fall down on the left or the right)

Screen 10: LEFT: A Shotman! Quickly pull out a strong weapon like the Leaf
Shield to kill it before it hits you! (You probaly had full energy, so...)
Fall down.
RIGHT: Plain falling. :)

Screen 11: LEFT: Kill another Shotman here and go down the ladder.
RIGHT: Avoid the spikes. You can kill the Shotman from the back. :D

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 12: Don't fall in the pit, jump from the edge to clear it.
Slide and wait for the Tellys to appear - so they cannot hit you while you
are jumping. Getting hit while jumping makes you fall, in this case, in the
pit - instant death.
Jump to the small platform and wait for the Tellys again, then jump and climb
up the ladder.

Screen 13: Ignore the small energy pellet, just keep climbing! A Pipi is not
our friend, so don't wait for that here.

Screen 14: Same. Just get to the other ladder without stopping and the Pipi
will appear late again. :D

Screen 15: Hey, 2 ladders! Pick one, they lead you to the same way.
Quickly, or a Pipi will appear and it can hit you on the ladder.

Screen 16: Now, 3 ladders and a moving platform. Choose the rightmost one.
Don't wait for the Pipi again here.

Screen 17: Oh goodie! Another E-Tank! :) Always useful, even if we won't need
them! :D Pick it up, and use the Rush Jet to get out of there.
(Go back, and choose the ladder in the middle to get a big energy pellet, if
you are low on energy.)
The Fly Boy(s) will appear, don't let them crush you! RUUUUUN! :D
Climb the ladder on the left.

Screen 18: Pick up the large weapon energy pellet (Rush Jet needs it, but it
is your decision, not mine... Anyways, the weapon energies will be maxed out
after this battle) AFTER the Shotman shot six times and it started to shoot
almost above himself. Kill that and go through the gate...

BOSS FIGHT: CRASH MAN

Weakness: Air Shooter (AR)
Obtain: Crash Bombs (CL) and Rush Coil (RC)

He jumps in the air while he shoots his Crash Bombs. Don't forget: he will
ALWAYS jump if you attack him. Don't let him trap you in the corner and to
jump on you. His weakness is the Air Shooter, although you have to finish
him off with your Plasma Cannon.
Start off by a jump and a shot. Then go under him. Jump and shoot when you
hear the second boom sound by his dropped Crash Bomb. He will jump and he
will get hit. Go under him, turn around, repeat... It is EASY! Even with the
Plasma Cannon.

You got Crash Bombs and Rush Coil.

Dr. Wily Castle "Interlude" password (No MM3 Bosses beaten, 2 E-Tanks:)
A2, B2, C3, C4, D1, D2, D3

Dr. Wily "Interlude"\_________________________________________________________

Mega Man will stare at Wily's ugly Skull castle, then he goes in.
He looks around and he falls down.
DR. WILY! He is in front of Mega Man. He will walk back a few steps, and he
makes Mega Man to go in his trap! Now, you are in a teleport room.
You have to defeat the MM3 Robot Masters to proceed. Here is the layout:

  Hard Man Top Man

  Magnet Man Needle Man

You have to get through their stages (Yes, now they have their own stages,
the Robot Masters in Wily's castle in MM1 didn't have their stages, just the
simple, good ol' fight!) to fight them.
Here, I ALWAYS didn't go through the best way, I just started from Hard Man,
and I finished at Needle Man. But, I will guide you through the best way. :)

______________ [stage5]
5. NEEDLE MAN \_______________________________________________________________

Screen 1: A Hari Harry is in our way, which is a porcupine. Watch out for its
"needles" and to let him spin! After the first, kill the second, the third and
the fourth one! (Too much, I know.) Climb up the ladder.

Screen 2: Kill the Hari Harry, and do NOT ignore it. You will get hit then.
Don't climb down - that leads only to a dead end on the previous screen
containing a Metall and a large weapon energy pellet. So, climb up.

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 3: Kill the Hari Harry while you are on the ladder. Then, destroy the
Houdai, (Why not Hyundai? :D) which is a "ball-launcher". You can only shoot
them while they are unshielded, uncovered. If you need some energy, then feel
free to get in the short passage for that large energy pellet. Ready? :)
OK, then shoot the next two Houdais. After that, pull out Rush Jet for a small
step to reach the place, where the Houdai were. You cannot jump up there! =P
Now, if you still need energy, (Who are you anyway? :D) then jump up and enter
(Er... I mean, slide...) the small tube. I think it is worthless, and those
metal needles can damage you well.
So, get right. Quickly destroy the Houdai, then the Metall (You can shoot it
on his way down!) to make things clear here - or something. :)
After two more Houdais, and a Metall, you will encounter 3 Yambos. (Flying
robotical insects :D) Yup, destroy them, then slide in to the Metall (or in
the place where it was... bah =P) and pick up that E-Tank to have 3! :)
Climb down the ladder.

Screen 4: Don't climb the ladder down. Instead, jump to the left off the
ladder and wait for the metal needle to get through it, then fall down, and
hug the right side of the wall.

Screen 5: A 1-Up. Yay! :)
Wait for the needle, and climb down.

Screen 6: Get through two, two more and plus one metal needle.
Then, slide in and avoid yet two needles. Climb up the ladder, will ya? :D

Screen 7: Kill the Hammer Joe, when his eye is open. Use Rush Jet to pick up
the large weapon energy pellet if you need. (You won't need that, I think.)
Climb up.

Screen 8: Kill this noname enemy. (Yup, this one is another noname bot, I will
call it Bigdumbeyebot :D) So, kill the Bigdumbeyebot and enter the door.
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: NEEDLE MAN

Weakness: Air Shooter (AR)
Obtain: Needle Cannon (NE)

He has 2 attacks. He jumps in the air and he shoots needles, or he jumps close
to you and he tries to hit you with his needlehead. (ugh)
Slide under the needles and jump when he (his head) is close to you.
7 shots will make it die for sure! :)

You got Needle Cannon (NE)

Needle Man defeated: A1, A3, A4, B3, C1, C3, D4 (3 E-Tanks)

Weapons so far:

- Rush Jet (RJ)
- Rush Coil (RC)
- Rush Marine (RM)
- Metal Blades (ME)
- Leaf Shield (WD)
- Air Shooter (AR)
- Crash Bombs (CL)
- Needle Cannon (NE)

Hey, Magnet Man, have you seen my needles? 'Cos you'll have to be cooked! :D

_____________ [stage6]
6. MAGNET MAN\________________________________________________________________

Screen 1: Run under the first and the second Mag Fly, then kill the 3rd one.
Jump over the pit and don't let the 4th and 5th Mag Fly to "pick you up".
Jump over two more pits and avoid the 6th Mag Fly, then WAIT for the 7th Mag
Fly or you'll hit him and you fall in the last pit here. Go down the ladder.

Screen 2: A New Shotman is guarding an E-Tank! Yup, we'll pick it up.
But first, wait for him to stop shooting, then kill it, and get away with our
4th E-Tank! (You cannot take more than 4 E-Tanks with you.) Fall down.

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 3: We have to face 3 Giant Springers, so kill them all and don't let
their shots hit you... better dodge it! :) Climb the ladder down.

Screen 4: 4 Peterchys, wait for them to give some space for you to shoot them
down, then climb the next ladder down.

Screen 5: To be extremely cheap, wait for those dumb Peterchys to kill them-
selves, because they will walk into the pit! :D (LOL.)
But, the 3rd and the 4th Peterchys have to be killed before you climb the
ladder down. Don't let the magnets magnetize you down into the pits!

Screen 6: Now, this part it pretty tricky, but we will be cheap here.
Shoot an Air Shooter to kill that New Shotman to clear the screen.
Better to be cheap than dead, right? :) And, pull out the Rush Jet and use it
instead of those blocks. Keep Rush Jet active and climb down the ladder.

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 7: Now, here is a LONG-LONG-LONG pit of those disappering blocks.
That is the reason why I recommended you to keep Rush Jet active. =P
Travel ALL THE WAY until you get to the ladder. Don't worry, if you have full
energy. Only 12 of the 19 energy will be used.

Screen 8: Climb up, we'll come back here. But, kill the Metall!

Screen 9: Kill the New Shotman, and climb down, if you need health/weapon re-
fill and an E-Tank. (You already have 4 - the max...)

Screen 8: Anyway, I'll describe it. Kill the Metall and pick up the large
energy and weapon energy pellet and the E-Tank, too.

Screen 10: Kill the Giant Springer and enter the boss gate.
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: MAGNET MAN

Weakness: Needle Cannon (NE)
Obtain: Magnet Missile (MG)

His two attacks are the following:

1. He'll jump towards (and on, if you are slow and don't slide towards Magnet
Man) you and he'll take a big leap in the air, then he shoots out 3 (semi-ho-
ming) Magnet Missiles in your way.

2. He tries to magnetize you to himself.

But, 7 Needle Cannon shots do the trick. Just keep on sliding and moving, and
use an E-Tank, if you need.

You got Magnet Missile (MG)

Needle Man & Magnet Man defeated: A3, A4, B1, C1, C2, C3, D1, D3 (4 E-Tanks)

Weapons so far:

- Rush Jet (RJ)
- Rush Coil (RC)
- Rush Marine (RM)
- Metal Blades (ME)
- Leaf Shield (WD)
- Air Shooter (AR)
- Crash Bombs (CL)
- Needle Cannon (NE)
- Magnet Missile (MG)

Hard Man, you're an oxymoron! You're EEEEAAASSSSSYYYYY! :D

___________ [stage7]
7. HARD MAN\__________________________________________________________________

Screen 1: Go right to meet a Have "Su" Bee, but at the E-Tank, 1 more comes.
Pick up the E-Tank, if you want it, but that Have "Su" Bee will come back!
Don't let it to drop its Chibees (5 Chibees... oh.) and keep going right.
3 Wanaaans (3 A-s... how interesting) will tray to "bite" you, but slide.
Keep sliding away from another Have "Su" Bee, slide to clear 2 more Wanaans.
If you need some health, then climb up the ladder and avoid those Wanaaans up
there - 3, to be honest. Pick up the large energy pellet, and climb up.

Screen 2: A Hammer Joe guards a 1-Up, even if you cannot see that yet.
Ignore that, because the Hammer Joe "regenerates" himself, if you slide in for
that extra life. Climb up, go left, pick up the small energy pellet, and kill
the Hammer Joe. Take the ladder up.

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 3: A Kaettekita Monking is on the very right on the screen, so kill it
while you are still on the ladder. After she is gone, go right.
The second one should be killed, while she is still on the ground. The Metal
Blades work here very well. ;) Slide in, and kill the 3rd with Metal Blades.
If you need ammunition, then use Rush Jet to get up there, and get that large
weapon energy pellet. But, you'll have to kill that Kaettekita Monking again,
if you picked up the energy pellet. But, a simple target for you, hehe. ;)
Climb up to continue.

Screen 4: Kill the Hammer Joe while on the ladder, if you want to be healthy.
Or, just climb up in the right time, ignoring everything here. :D

Screen 5: A Kaettekita Monking on the ceiling. Right, do this to not get hit:
Slide under her to the left, then slide to right, and back again, to the left.
If she falls of and jumps to the left, then she needs 2 jumps to fall off!
That's what we want here! :) Climb up, man! :)

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 6: A Metall on a bulldozer!!! 3 shots in his head. =P Go right, then
quickly slide to avoid the Wanaaans and run to the lair before the Have "Su"
Bee attacks you.
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: HARD MAN

Weakness: Magnet Missile (MG)
Obtain: Hard Knuckle (HA)

He starts off with shooting 2 Hard Knuckles (these turn twice) and he smashes
in the ground. You cannot move then for a small period of time. He keeps doing
this! Use the Magnet Missiles on him, but the Plasma Cannon does well, too.
Easy as pie. :) 5 Missiles, and he is toast!

You got Hard Knuckle (HA)

Needle Man, Magnet Man & Hard Man defeated: A3, A4, B1, B3, C1, C2, C3, D1, D3
(4 E-Tanks)

Weapons so far:

- Rush Jet (RJ)
- Rush Coil (RC)
- Rush Marine (RM)
- Metal Blades (ME)
- Leaf Shield (WD)
- Air Shooter (AR)
- Crash Bombs (CL)
- Needle Cannon (NE)
- Magnet Missile (MG)
- Hard Knuckle (HA)

Top Man, you are TOPLESS and NOT top! Just an idiot. :D

__________ [stage8]
8. TOP MAN\___________________________________________________________________

Screen 1: Two Mecha Keros. Kill these nasty "frogs" and climb down.

Screen 2: Just a Metall-bulldozer.

Screen 3: The good ol' hated disappearing blocks are here! Use Rush Marine to
ignore this LONG part. After that, kill the New Shotman, and pick up the large
energy pellet if you wish. Fall down.

Screen 4: Kill the Metall, if you need some energy for your weapons. Fall. :D

Screen 5: A big, stinky cat. Don't shoot that "yawn" ball, it is still better
than those fleas... Dr. Wily thinks he is so smart... kill the cat, and slide
down.

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 6: Leap over the pit and face that Metall-bulldozer! Slide back for a
large energy pellet under you, and ignore the 2nd Metall-bulldozer by sliding
under it. :D Use Rush Jet for that 1-Up, or climb down.

Screen 7: A Komasaburo is here, on the top of the "stair". He will send some
spinning Tops down, but kill it anyway and climb down.

Screen 8: Another cat. But, slide down! :DDD Stupid, retarted ugly cat.

Screen 9: A Komasaburo is here, kill it, and get the E-Tank if you have 3 or
less. Go down.

Screen 10: Kill the Mecha Kero, use the Rush Jet as a step to get that large
weapon energy pellet, if you want to get it. Go right and kill the Komasaburo
on the top of this "stair". Slide in, jump, and slide again to get to the
Komasaburo here. It WILL hit you with his Tops. Or, use Leaf Shield, and jump
over the falling Top in the corner. Go right to meet a badass part.
Huge Tops will have to be used as steps to get through the pit.
- Do not let these reach the top or the bottom of the screen.
- Do not jump just because you think you can make it (e.g.: the 2nd Top is
above you when you start to jump from the 1st one.)
If you feel it too hard, then use Rush Jet. Go right, and kill a Komasaburo,
who guards the entrance of the lair of...
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: TOP MAN

Weakness: Hard Knuckle (HA)
Obtain: Top Spin (TO)

He is lame. Really lame. He does always the same things: He send 3 Tops in the
air, then he spins over the lair to the other side. (you can't hit him then)
It's all. 5 Hard Knuckles or 19 Plasma Cannon shots, and you win this easy
fight! EAAAAASY!

You got Top Spin (TO)

LAST PASSWORD - Quint: A1, A3, A4, B3, C1, C2, C3, C4, D1, D3 (4 E-Tanks)
Yes, this is the last password.

Weapons so far:

- Rush Jet (RJ)
- Rush Coil (RC)
- Rush Marine (RM)
- Metal Blades (ME)
- Leaf Shield (WD)
- Air Shooter (AR)
- Crash Bombs (CL)
- Needle Cannon (NE)
- Magnet Missile (MG)
- Hard Knuckle (HA)
- Top Spin (TO)

You'll be back in the teleport room. You cannot even go to the (closed) tele-
ports now, but there is a hole on the floor...

_________________ [quint]
BOSS FIGHT: QUINT\____________________________________________________________

Weakness: Hard Knuckles (HA)
Obtain: Quint Item, Sakugarne (SG)

Now, this fight is weird, and it has a few reasons, as well.

1. You just don't know WHO he is, even the manual doesn't speak a word about
him or how did he get in the game. Probably Wily forced him to fight you...

2. He looks like Quick Man (hence the part of his name Qui???) and Proto Man.
Now really, I always thought that he is Proto Man, when I was 12, and I played
the game for the first time - but it was 6 years ago. =P

3. He doesn't have an energy meter, so you don't know how much energy he has,
but, if you damage him, you can see him flashing.

4. You don't kill him, he surrenders!

This was Enigma_07's Enigmatical Mysteries, thank you. :'D

So, you cannot damage him at the beginning of the fight, while he is on the
ground alone, without his pogo stick, called Sakugarne. But, hit his head and
NOT the Sakugarne to hit him. He jumps close to you and digs out some rocks,
this is all he will do. Nothing else. Use the Hard Knuckles or just the Plasma
Cannon to get rid of this guy quickly.

NOTE: I found out a thing while adding the weapons section to the guide while
fighting Quint with Top Spin. I COULD DAMAGE HIM (and myself) AT THE VERY
BEGINNING OF THE FIGHT! (when he didn't call the Sakugarne yet)
And, I could hit his head with a few weapons...

You got Quint Item - Sakugarne (SG)

Weapons so far:

- Rush Jet (RJ)
- Rush Coil (RC)
- Rush Marine (RM)
- Metal Blades (ME)
- Leaf Shield (WD)
- Air Shooter (AR)
- Crash Bombs (CL)
- Needle Cannon (NE)
- Magnet Missile (MG)
- Hard Knuckle (HA)
- Top Spin (TO)
- Quint Item - Sakugarne (SG)

That's all guys!

Now, Wily escapes from his castle to outer space, in his space node.
But, here is another Enigmatic Question, ladies and gentlemen!

HOW THE HECK CAN RUSH TRANSFORM INTO A SPACESHIP???

Anyways, you enter in Wily's space node, but here is another question:

WHY DOES MEGA MAN TRAVEL TIME AND HOW DOES HE GETS TO TRAVEL IN TIME?
(You see those ugly clocks in the background, which reminds me Salvador Dali)

Bah, answer these question in e-mail, thank you. =P

_____________ [stage9]
9. WILY STAGE\________________________________________________________________

Screen 1: Kill the Hammer Joe and fall down.

Screen 2: Jump on the MIDDLE platform to get through the spikes.

Screen 3: A New Shotman. Kill it and get the E-Tank, but you probably have 4
already. If you do, just fall down.

Screen 4: Kill the Metall, and reload your weapons (You won't need it, anyway)

Note: Screens 6, and 7 will all have 3 parts. Screen 5, 8 will only have 2.
I will mark them with A, B, and C. The first part will be A. =P

Screen 5A: Wait for the Metall to fall off screen, then follow him. :)

Screen 6A and 7A: Just fall.

Screen 8A: Climb up before the Pipi comes in from the right.

Screen 7B and 6B: Continue climbimg quickly, avoid the Metall + Hammer Joe.

Screen 5B: Kill the left Metall, climb down a bit, and kill the other while
that is falling! :D

Screen 6C and 7C: Falling...

Screen 8B: Again, quickly exit on the left by climbing down before Pipi comes.

*Checkpoint!*

Screen 9: Alright, jump on those disappearing blocks to enter the "pool". :D
Equip Rush Marine and go through the pool, avoiding those Peterchys.
There's no need for the large energy pellet and the large weapon energy pellet
above the water, but if you need them, then jump out at the second Peterchy.
Then, climb up.

Screen 10: A Monking on the ceiling. Use the multidirectional Metal Blades to
kill it, but it is hard to press Left + Up + B at the same time. =P Go up.

Screen 11: Kill the Giant Springer, dodge his shot, and climb up.

Screen 12: It is not that easy to jump on that disappearing block, so use Rush
Jet to make things better. However, ignore the large energy pellet, and use da
ladder up.

Screen 13: Ah, the Guillotines. Wait for them to raise high enough, then jump
through the spikes to get to the next ladder.

Screen 14: Kill the Kaminari Goro, use his cloud to reach the ladder, and
avoid the spikes.

Screen 15: The same without spikes.

Screen 16: The same WITH spikes and a Pipi.

Screen 17: The last screen. Use Leaf Shield on the Scworm maker and enter...
______________________________________________________________________________
BOSS FIGHT: DR. WILY

All forms' weakness: Sakugarne (SG), but the Plasma Cannon rocks here! :D

He will have 3 forms.

1. A big, ugly one with big legs. Start off by sliding to the right or he will
jump on you. He will turn around and will shoot a bouncing skullbomb towards
you. Run under it while it is in air. Then comes a shot from the machine's
shin on the ground - jump through that. This is his pattern.
Yours: Slide, Run, Jump - repeat. Of course, you'll have to shoot. :D
Shoot him 12 times to dispatch the first form.

2. His 'plane' contacts on the tank. :D
His pattern: 2 plasma shots, (one of them will almost always hits me if I
don't jump these times) then he comes a bit forward and he shoots that
bouncing skullbomb, which will blow behind you into two shots - better avoid
it. :) Yours: Well... jump, avoid, run, avoid... =P
Once again, shoot it 12 times to dispatch it.

3. Hey, did you realize that Wily become blacker? :D Maybe a bug in the game
or something, but it is definetely the dragon's fault...
The last form is a robotic dragon. His pattern: Shoots a 'homing' missile,
then 4 'bombs' in the air, then the skullhead moves forward (Why?)
Yours: Slide, go a bit next left to the middle of the screen to avoid the
'bombs', and shoot him while the skullhead moves. :D
There's no need for the E-Tanks anymore, so use them! :)
19 shots and the game is over!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[end][Ending:]

You obtain that rocket from Wily, who escapes in space. Mega Man
follows him in Rush, then he shoots this rocket to Wily, who gets hit, and he
falls on Earth with a Skull "smokecloud" or something. Then Mega Man watches
the enemies list, then the "Thank you for playing, presented by Capcom" is the
end of the game.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[bg][Boss Guide:]

1. (Dr.) METAL MAN (What? The Metal Blade on his head looks like a
stethoscope. And his position... like he says "Turn around and cough..." :D)

"Is there a doctor in the house?"

Weakness: Crash Bombs (CL)
Obtain: Metal Blades (ME), and Rush Marine (RM)

EASY! Keep this up until you win! ;)

2. WOOD MAN

Weakness: Metal Blades (ME)
Obtain: Leaf Shield (WD)

3. AIR MAN

Weakness: Leaf Shield (WD)
Obtain: Air Shooter (AR), and Rush Jet (RJ)

Start the fight by shooting the Leaf Shield to Air Man. If you were quick, it
will hit him. And it can hit him twice (No, because you will always land on
the same place after entering the lair. It WILL hit him twice.)
He will shoot some tornadoes while pushing you to the left. Don't get upset if
you can't avoid them. After two of these tornado-attacks, he will jump closer.
But he won't live long, maybe for a few seconds. :)
3 hits with the Leaf Shield and he is dead!

4. CRASH MAN

5. NEEDLE MAN

6. MAGNET MAN

7. HARD MAN

Weakness: Magnet Missile (MG)
Obtain: Hard Knuckle (HA)

He starts off with shooting 2 Hard Knuckles (these turn twice) and he smashes
in the ground. You cannot move then for a small period of time. He keeps doing
this! Use the Magnet Missiles on him, but the Plasma Cannon does well, too.
Easy as pie. :) 5 Missiles, and he is toast!

8. TOP MAN

Weakness: Hard Knuckle (HA)
Obtain: Top Spin (TO)

He is lame. Really lame. He does always the same things: He send 3 Tops in the
air, then he spins over the lair to the other side. (you can't hit him then)
It's all. 5 Hard Knuckles or 19 Plasma Cannon shots, and you win this easy
fight! EAAAAASY!

9. QUINT

Weakness: Hard Knuckles (HA)
Obtain: Quint Item, Sakugarne (SG)

Hit him with the Plasma Cannon 32 times to make him run away!

NOTE: I found out a thing while adding the weapons section to the guide while
fighting Quint with Top Spin. I COULD DAMAGE HIM (and myself) AT THE VERY
BEGINNING OF THE FIGHT! (when he didn't call the Sakugarne yet)
And, I could also hit his head with a few weapons...

10. DR. WILY

All forms' weakness: Sakugarne (SG), but the Plasma Cannon rocks here! :D

He will have 3 forms.

Yours: Slide, go a bit next left to the middle of the screen to avoid the
'bombs', and shoot him while the skullhead moves. :D
There's no need for the E-Tanks anymore, so use them! :)
19 shots and the game is over!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[wp][Weapons:]

The letter(s) in the ()'s are the letters the weapons are shown as in the sub-
menu (press Start to enter it)
Every Robot Master weapon has its own energy, if it runs out, you cannot use
that weapon, unless you pick up a weapon energy pellet while that weapon is
equipped. (If you pick up a weapon energy pellet without have equipped a
weapon/Rush adaptor, then it is wasted!)

Plasma Cannon (P)
Obtained: - (This is your regulare weapon, with unlimited energy)
Number of uses: Unlimited, unless you die. :D

Your primary weapon; you have it from the beginning.
You cannot call it as "Mega Buster" yet, because you can't charge it yet.
Only 3 shots can be on the screen, but it is not a big problem, due to the
small size of the Game Boy screen.

Top Spin (TP)
Obtained: Top Man
Number of uses: Probably 19

This weapon is totally USELESS in this game, at least I have NEVER used it.
This is not a "simply press B to shoot" weapon, you have to press B while in
midair to make Mega Man to spin, and if you hit an enemy, the weapon energy
will be (probably) reduced by one. You can't even damage all the enemies!
All I can say is to never use it.

Leaf Shield (WD)
Obtained: Wood Man
Number of uses: 6
Useful against: Air Man

Press B to make a shield of spinning leaves around you. It is useful against
incoming enemies, especially Pipis, while you are climbing a ladder.
It is also useful against Scworm Makers, just go close to it, equip it, and
change back to Plasma Cannon if it is dead.
Remember: You don't use weapon energy if you don't send it to a direction!
But, if you press right (for example) while it is equipped, then its energy
will be reduced by three. Useful against Air Man.

Crash Bombs (CR)
Obtained: Crash Man
Number of uses: 4 (How big)
Useful against: Metal Man

This is another weapon, which I don't use. You can use it only 4, yes, FOUR
times, and you are out ouf energy!
It is a small bomb. If it hits the floor or a wall, then it'll attach to the
surface, and will detonate after three seconds. If it hits an enemy, it will
explode immediately. Only one bomb can be on the screen at once.
Not bad against Metal Man.

Hard Knuckle (HA)
Obtained: Hard Man
Number of uses: 9
Useful against: Top Man, Quint

Mega Man will shoot a big boxing knuckle, which moves slowly, but its speed
get higher. The best thing about it is its (now try to say "it is its" quickly
or you can buy me a soda, thank you. :D) power.
Only one can be on the screen at once. Very useful against Top Man and Quint.
(even if they are the easiest Robot Masters - Quint is not a Robot Master...)

Air Shooter (AR)
Obtained: Air Man
Number of uses: 9
Useful against: Crash Man, Needle Man

Mega Man will shoot 3 tornadoes in an "upward arc". Pretty hard to use it
against enemies, but you can try. Only 3 tornadoes can be on screen at once.
Useful against Crash Man and Needle Man.

Metal Blades (ME)
Obtained: Metal Man (duh)
Number of uses: 76 (Yes, SEVENTY-SIX)
Useful against: Wood Man

Mega Man will shoot a small metal blade. (BIG DUH!)
Now, this weapon is versatile. You will find yourself using it often.
Can be useful against small enemies, like a Scworm Maker.
This is a Robot Master weapon with the highest number of uses, which makes it
better. Stronger than the Plasma Cannon. 3 of them can be on screen at once.
VERY useful against Wood Man.
Oh, I almost forgot: You can shoot it in EIGHT directions!!! Just keep that
direction down (you can shoot it even diagonally as well) to shoot it that
way.

Needle Cannon (NE)
Obtained: Needle Man (duh again)
Number of uses: 76
Useful against: Magnet Man

Mega Man will shoot small needles. (do I have to say duh? :D)
This is another weapon with the highest number of uses, it is in egal with the
Metal Blades, although I never use it, except against Magnet Man. (sometimes)
You can hold down the B button to keep shooting the needles! (Only 3 can be on
the screen at once) Useful against Magnet Man.

Magnet Missile (MG)
Obtained: Magnet Man (good old friend is here, called DUH :D)
Number of uses: 9 (once again, it is none other than the magical nine!)
Useful against: Hard Man

Mega Man will shoot magnets. (Have you seen DUH? :D)
You don't even have to aim witth this one. If the magnet will reach an enemy's
level vertically, then it will "home" it will change its angle 90 degrees to
hit the enemy to make you and your life happy and easier. :D

Sakugarne (SG)
Obtained: Quint (no duh included now)
Number of uses: none, but the seconds of uses are: 10 seconds, which means
2 pieces of energy per second are removed.
Useful against: Dr. Wily

It is a pogo stick with a face on it. You cannot use it for a long time.
Press A to jump higher.
