The original world wide web, as it existed in the 1990s, is mostly
gone now. Bits and pieces are still accessible through sites like the
Wayback Machine(run by the Internet Archive and located on the Web at
archive.org), but the feeling is not the same when accessing these
sites through a modern browser. But what if someone were to serve a
sampling of these sites through Gopher, simultaneously preserving the
Web's history while presenting an alternative history where HTML was
served by Gopher!?

That is the idea behind the sub project presented here. All you need
is a Gopher client capable of rendering 90s HTML, such as our very own
Molasses client[1]. You can even view this through an old web browser
like Netscape for a truly authentic experience, since many of these
browsers support Gopher.
