“So how is this any different than a cell phone?”

At the weekly D&D (Dungeon and Dragons) game this week, I mentioned to
everyone there the new VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone I received
for work [1], and how the unit can be plugged into any network and still
receive calls for the phone number assigned to it.

“So why not use a cell phone?” asked Marco, ever the smart one in the group.

“Um …” I said. “I don't know.”

Um … I suppose it might have something to do with forwarding tech support
calls, but honestly, I don't know.
