# We're Plural Trigger warning for a brief mention of child abuse, particularly emotional child abuse. Most relevant being isolation. This has been a long time coming. We& (the sinza collective) have known we& were plural for at least a year or two. We& didn't come out despite being primarily on plural-friendly social media such as Mastodon and (to some extent, both in regards to headmates and the whole "syscour&se" nonsense on that site) Tumblr. This is because we& foolishly thought we& could hide our& plurality, as, like many plurals, we& did not want to be openly plural. Howe&ver, the facade is cracking, and because the main headmate in charge of both our& Mastodon account and our& SDF account was tired of hiding just because they weren't fronting in the moment, and the headmate in charge of Tumblr wanted to join the sinza collective. So we& are plural. The future is plural. ## Origins We& feel system origins are over-discussed, especially on Tumblr. However, our& origin is something we& largely agree on. => https://pluralpedia.org/w/TraumaEndo We& consider our&selves TraumaEndogenic. This is because we& feel natural factors (such as neurospiciness) and traumatic factors (such as child abuse) were both factors in our& formation. We& feel that we& just are naturally more likely to be plural. No particular reason other than us& roleplaying often ending in headmates. Not much to talk about here. As for child abuse? Well, our& father emotionally abused us, and one way he did was via isolation. While some would possibly consider isolation-borne headmates endogenic, for us& it is definitely a traumagenic origin. However, I doubt that's what some sysmeds (or, as they prefer to call themselves, anti-endos) think when they say "traumagenic systems only". We& are non-disordered. We& explicdisordered plurality at allly do not have DID or OSDD. This is important as it's just not our& experience, and we& lay absolutely no claim to it. ## System Governance The "sinza collective" refers to a group of headmates that are the primary fronters of a body that have the same goals and aims. There are other entities within the body, but the sinza collective are the primary fronters and have the ability to speak as sinza. Governance in the sinza collective is informal. "sinza" is such a small group that this is sustainable. At the time of writing this, the sinza collective is made up of four members, but there are at least two known other entities within the body, and there have been at least ten entities that have existed within the body that the sinza collective controls. ## Members of the sinza collective ### Alpha Sparx Pronouns: any neutral pronouns (they/them if you can't think of any) Alpha is a Unix-enthusiast and a "Sun Leopard", which is about as similar to a Snow Leopard as a Jaguar is to a Leopard. They are a huge fan of Sun Microsystems and have obtained two Sun Computers. They like the BSDs and Solaris the most as far as operating systems go. ### Lucy Pronouns: sie/hir, she/her, they/them Lucy is the most social member of the collective. If Alpha isn't working as the face of the sinza collective, it's Lucy. Lucy is also the IRL liason for the system when it comes to IRL. Well, either hir or Rachel. Lucy has the biggest appreciation for modern technology of the collective. Despite the body being from the US, Lucy is Canadian and has hints of the accent to match, as well as preferring Canadian spelling. Outside of her work with the sinza collective, she has a Tumblr account she'd rather keep private. ### Rachel Pronouns: she/her Rachel enjoys anything to do with PCs of the old kind. She owns a few books on classic Windows development, and more than a few books on Windows NT. She also enjoys Windows 9x, MS-DOS, and even the occassional Slackware install. Good thing the body works for a company that still uses VB6, huh? If Lucy isn't fronting while the collective is doing work, it's probably Rachel. ### Alistair Pronouns: He/him, they/them A Macintosh enthusiast, Alistair is the collective's hardware jockey and fellow BSD enthusiast to Alpha. Al, as he doesn't mind being called, also has a strong interest in Pippin homebrewing. He is one of the lucky owners of a physical Pippin Kickstart CD after a chance encounter with someone we believe to be blitter at VCFMW 2024 after darting to the microphone to ask about the Pippin after a panel about Mac clones. ## The Future We& are considering hosting a fediverse server for us. => https://gotosocial.org/ GoToSocial is a candidate for the ideal server. We never use Mastodon's web interface as it is. => https://learnbchs.org/ However, a big part of our goals to help the internet does involve learning OpenBSD in greater detail, and why not use a stack associated with it?
