Most documents referred to from this page are incomplete. So be warned. If there is something that you'd need urgently, please contact the developers at <zzdev@xanadu.net>.

Note that all HTML documents are available in two flavours: one that works if your browser's CSS support, if existing, is not too buggy (such as Mozilla, Netscape Navigator 2 or 3, or Konqueror); and another meant for users of Netscape Navigator 4, which has bugs that make the normal version illegible when the stylesheet support is on. Choose your format wisely.

User's documentation

New users are encouraged to start with Gentle Introduction to Ted Nelson's ZigZag structure (NS4-compatible version). It introduces the reader to the ZigZag universe in a general way without touching the aspects of actually using it in GZigZag. The background information given by the Gentle Introduction will be invaluable to a GZigZag user.

The article GZigZag - A Platform for Cybertext Experiments (NS4-compatible version), written for Cybertext Yearbook edited by Markku Eskelinen & Raine Koskimaa, is an excellent introduction to the potentials of GZigZag.

The GZigZag User's Guide (NS4-compatible version) introduces the reader to the actual using of the GZigZag system. This is what tells you how you create new cells and connect cells and so on.

There is also a GZigZag glossary (NS4-compatible version) that contains short definitions of key GZigZag terms.

The The nile (nile is a literate editor) applitude (NS4-compatible version) article and Nile User's Guide (NS4-compatible version) document a new experimental way of writing text.
