I went through my closet the other day looking for my USR v.Everything (Still
can't find it since I moved back in 2015) and found 4 video cards, ranging
from regular PCI to PCIe, I found a 13.6gig HD (What can someone do with a
13.6gig HD today?!?!?!?!) I found memory chips from my first 486DLC, the only
good that came out of my trek into the closet was I found an old mother board
which was fried that had 4gigs of DDR3 memory which I tossed into a machine I
found in someones garbage (I have a bad habit of stopping traffic when I see
a computer in the garbage and I pick it up) which I am going to use as the
dial up box since it is the only 1 other then my daily runner and my
server that has a PCI slot in it. I have now found in people's garbage a Dual
Core 2.0ghz machine with 4gigs of ram (my neighbors garbage, gave her back
the HD because she didn't understand that people could get any personal info
from it that might still be on it) and a i3 3.2ghz with 4gigs of RAM and no
HD. I put a 750gig HD and the extra 4gigs of RAM in it and installed Windows
for now. Gotta love Dell and their USB download of the original software that
comes on a computer, this thing came with Win 7 Home Premium, I downloaded it
installed it legally, installed Win 10 upgrade and the system runs great! I
can't understand why people throw out perfectly good computers!!
