Decodaquote (Cryptogram) Variations

Decodaquote, produced by Patience Ryan (presumably a humorous pseudonym
considering the material to come) is a simple, single-replacement newssheet
cryptogram which encodes witty repartee behind a screen of jumbled letters. The
aim is to decode the quote (hence the puzzle's name) by patiently (hence the
author's pseudonym) replacing each alphabetic symbol printed with its
corresponding letter, revealing a complete sentence. Evidently, this is only
scratching the surface of possibility espoused by such a format. We can (and
will and must perhaps) go further:

Intelligible Initial Condition
The initial condition of the puzzle is a legible, intelligible sentence. Thus,
one is to decode the message beneath the message. The solution would be reached
utilising the same strategies as usual. The difficulty of solving these
puzzles would be in the meaningfulness of the initial condition, a
meaningfulness which could present itself as a trap. In order to set a puzzle
of this type, two sentences with the same number of letters, punctuation, and
spacing must be found (no small task for the puzzle setter).

Nested Solutions
This builds upon variation one. The initial condition of the puzzle is not
intelligible. The puzzle is solved utilising the same strategies as usual;
however, it must be solved a second time after the initial solution has been
discovered. Thus, two quotes may be encoded, one after the other, in the same
puzzle. A similar difficulty exists here for the puzzle setter as for variation
one.

Parallel Solutions
The initial condition of the puzzle is not intelligible. The puzzle is solved
utilising the same strategies as usual; however, there are two possible correct
solutions. Both solutions can be discovered through symbol-letter remapping.
See previous for difficulties arising.
