About
Dataswamp.org is a non-profit, invite-only shared computer system with
a small user base running on OpenBSD's native hypervisor vmm(4). Like
its OS, everything is set up focused on security and simplicity. It is
operated by Unix enthusiasts who use it for their daily computing
tasks like programming, writing mails, maintaining a website, a gopher
hole or a gemini capsule. Or just for playing a game of
nethack. We also operate an internal, text-based BBS that is
reminiscent of systems such as PicoSpan or CONFER. Staff is usually
present on Internet Relay Chat at irc.dataswamp.org (TLS only) in
#dataswamp. A limited number of dataswamp's services are available via
Tor as an onion service. Apart from that this site is also available
via I2P as an eepsite. This machine is hosted in Helsinki, Finland.
If you would like to support us financially, please consider donating
to the OpenBSD Foundation instead.
