Who am I?

I'm a 40-something software engineer who grew up right as the World Wide Web
started blowing up - sitting at a crossroads between the BBS days and the Web
days. As someone who spent a lot of time browsing the Web back then, I really
miss how things were before the Web was so heavily commercialized. Modern web
apps and websites have their place, but there's nothing quite like a collection
of random thoughts and ideas being built up and floating around in a totally
non-commercial, completely organic way.

I work with modern technologies (largely Node.js and Python plus a lot of
Docker) as part of my day job, but for fun, I collect old computers and write
software for them. Maybe not great software, but I do it anyway.
