I like taking photographs with old film cameras.  If I'm honest, I 
this mostly because I enjoy the cameras themselves.  I like the way
they look, I like the heft of a machine that isn't mostly plastic, 
like the sound and the tactile sensation of a good film-advance lev
and I like careful manual focussing.  The lack of beeping and/or
flashing is relaxing.  I enjoy the photos, too, I do think there is
certain "something" about them, but probably nothing that can't be
artificially added to a digital photo.  I don't believe film has an
objetively measureble technical benefits which are worth caring abo
and I certainly don't think that all digital photos look "cold and
sterile" or anything like that.
