After all the stress of the last 2+ years, first becoming caregiver for
my Mom...then having to all the items needed to set up a Miller Trust
to pay the nursing home cost each month...then to get her into the
facility...and, now trying to tie up loose ends after her death a month
ago, I'm about to the point where I was 7 months after my wife died
12 1/2 years ago...to have a breakdown, and cry for a long time...and
like then, doing it alone.

So, after my doing a ham radio license exam session on Sept. 14, I am
going to take a break from all my hobbies (ham radio, square dancing,
and the BBS), except for the following items:

1) Updating ham radio and weather data on the BBS, and verifying that
it's still online with the Synchronet BBS List. Reading of BBS mail and
doorgame play will likely be postponed for awhile. I likely will take
a hiatus from ham radio traffic nets...running them, or checking into
them.

2) Work on the square dance website, especially in making the final
preparations for the new one to come online prior to Columbus Day Weekend.

3) Facebook usage will be curtailed to nearly nothing, and very little
email processing will be done. I have already unfriended all of my friends
there, because of all the spamming, etc.

I was originally hoping to be traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico for
the Duke City Hamfest, but with costs from severe weather damage in June,
that ate up all my vacation money. After a trip to the state square dance
festival in Clinton, Arkansas over Columbus Day Weekend, that'll likely be
my last travel outside of central Arkansas. There are too many red flags
that keep me home (hotel bedbugs, security concerns at home while away,
etc.).

Plus, I'm to have several medical procedures done before the holidays...
and that is going to take priority. That includes both urological, and
possibly orthopedic.

I apologize for any inconvenience, but the fact is I AM BURNED OUT...
physically, emotionally, and mentally...and I need some time off. I likely
will spend much of the time trying to get some sleep...something I've had
very little of lately.

I hope to resume some sort of a "normal schedule" in early October, 2019.
