Subj : Ham Radio Humor To : All From : Daryl Stout Date : Sat Jul 01 2017 08:34 am As you may know, there is so little to laugh at in the world nowadays. But, even with ham radio, humor can be used on the air, and at eyeball QSO's, to bring a good laugh. These are covered in the following items, over the month (Days 1-28), and repost each month. 1) 10 Commandments For Technicians (from N5HQ) 2) Ham Radio Awards 3) Rules Of Radio 4) Brown Grass (from K5VPM, SK) 5) CW Got The Job (from N4KG) 6) DX Movies (from AC6V) 7) Having A Ham As A Pet (from KK5AA) 8) No Static About The Mess (seen at a ham radio club meeting) 9) In Big Trouble (from W7YEN) 10) The Missing Q Signals (from W6ZO, W2AGN, K6DGW, K3HRN, W7RY, K5QLF) 11) Signs For The Shack 12) The Poor Ham 13) The Ham Snake 14) Sprays for the Ham Radio Shack 15) The Ham Pager 16) The Ham Radio Billboard 17) No New Rig 18) The Wishing Well 19-27) The Triple Play (3 parts)(from WX1DER) A) The Ham Radio Wedding B) The Honeymoon And More C) Ham For The Holidays/The 12 Days Of Hamming 28) The New Kenwood Contesting Transceiver Note that many of these items are "tongue in cheek", and they don't actually "exist". But, they are provided for a good laugh. Non-ham radio operators may not understand all the humor, though. Also, some of items 10 and 11 may not be suitable for "on the air"...but are good for eyeball QSO's at hamfests, club meetings, etc. As a side note, the term "hi hi" is known as "the telegrapher's laugh" (.... ..) -- and what hams usually say instead of "ha ha". Before reading some of these, or saying them on the air, you might want to make a quick restroom trip, or pull off to the side of the road. Otherwise, the resulting laughter may cause you to have a real mess on your hands!! Lastly, I have given credit, where I knew the source. If you use these on the air (some can't be, because of "content"), please give credit to the proper source...whether it's to yours truly, or to someone else. Daryl Stout, WX1DER ---
