SHADOW-ANGLE DANCE

Well this isn't an actual dance, I'm certainly not that cool, it's
just another idea along the lines of my "shadow display" described
in "silly displays".

I am thinking about music though, actually an abstract-style music
video:

*Build 3D objects designed to cast distinctly different shadows
depending on the angle from which light is shined on them from the
side.

*Electrically control (turn on/off) an array of differently
positioned LED lights so that they very rapidly change the angle
from which light is shined at each individual object, alternating
beween a number of distinct shadow images.

*Film from above, with a highly light sensitive camera (new ones
seem to be pretty good at this this sort of thing). If done very
carefully, I think you could get a neat effect of different shadows
"dancing" to music. If the timing is right (exactly in sync with the
music), I don't think it should matter if the images themselves
don't look all that good or interesting. Just familliar objects
contorting with each musical beat I think would be a neat effect
alone if given enough emphasis.
