# On the interesting stuff you can learn on gopher

In dbucklin's lastest phost[0] he speaks of using troff for formatting text. I am ignorant of this tool, but I have my curiosity piqued now. For one thing this phost looks amazing. It is formatted much better than my current use of par outputs.

I purchased a book titled "Troff Typesetting for Unix Systems" on Amazon[1] for $5 used. This looks to be an incredibly useful tool!! I do a lot of text formatting as do you if you are reading this on gopher. I am fairly certain that very few people (possibly none) passively consume content on gopher. Everyone is a creator in this space.

I am pretty stoked about this!
